Chapter 3: Axles: Introduction

Two axles were offered from the factory in Oldsmobile G-bodies. Most received the standard 7.5" axle, which was available in standard and limited-slip. The 1984 Hurst/Olds and 1985-1987 442 exclusively featured GM's 8.5" axle, which was again offered in standard form and limited-slip.
